DR. S. THANGAVEL

Dr. S. Thangavel is having 80% locomotor disability. He is from a small village. He has been working as an Associate Professor in K. S. Ramasamy College of Technology, Tiruchengode, Namakal for the last 22 years. The locomotor disability which he is suffering from has not deterred his determination in establishing himself as an academician. He has guided 12 Ph D scholars and 20 batches of UG students. He also made 83 research publications in journals His research work is focusing on socially relevant issues like rural electrification through smart grid system and fabrication of robotic caliper for persons with locomotor disability. He is being conferred with the National Award for Best Employee for the year 2018 under the Category “Locomotor Disabilities”.
