Virali Modi started an appeal to make the Indian Railways handicapped ease of access for disabled. She is a disability rights activist, campaigner and open speaker. Virali says, those with disabilities "have the right to have a comprehensive framework that helps everyone." Her appeal for railroads to be increasingly comprehensive has been generally welcomed and changes have been made in numerous urban communities. Virali is currently appealing to for the National Restaurants Association of India to make eateries wheelchair-accommodating.
